My name is Mandy Masters and I was born in my home town of Essex in 1961.
I was born without any arms due to the drug called Thalidomide, so I use my feet has my hands in my everyday life. I’ve been challenged with many things but have been brought up to be strong and positive woman. I’m a survivor and here’s a little bit about my journey.
Despite having no arms I’ve led a very normal life, I have always been determined to deal with everything life threw at me. I love makeup so became a beautician when I was younger, I then went on to do many demonstrations for people and have even been on TV; showing them how I could do makeup on other people, even down to cutting hair.
I have also been to schools and colleges to talk about my disability and demonstrate how I use my feet.
I have worked on a switchboard as a receptionist for a building company and at the age of seventeen I had a car adapted for me, wow this just changed my life!
I loved the freedom it gave me and it allowed me to feel normal.
As I became a young lady I wanted to find a young man who would accept me as I was, someone who would become my husband and share life with me, luckly for me I did. Wayne is not only my hubby but he is my best friend and soul mate. Together Wayne and I have two beautiful daughters Nicola & Marie who both have four boys each! We now have eight adorable grandsons.
The doctors back in the sixty’s when I was born gave my parents a very bleak view on my future but look how wrong they were. I’m now a very well established Medium and have been working in a monthly magazine called Take a Break Fate & Fortune for many years now. I have three pages with them which I love doing. I never like to be called a Medium really or a Clairvoyant and definitely not a Psychic, I’m just a ordinary woman in Essex that connects with the above world & beyond.
I knew from an early age that I was different not because I had no arms but Spiritually I felt different. From 14yrs old when visiting Lourdes in France my Spiritual side started happening, I’ll be honest I was a bit scared and kept declining to listen. Roughly every two years it would happen again the voices would come back. So after having my two daughters I decided to give in and hear what the Spirits had to say.
Now I look back from becoming just a tarot card reader to connecting with loved ones above, my journey has grown stronger and stronger as the years have gone by.
I really love doing my shows I call my venues my phone box from Heaven. When I connect with a persons loved one, people are blown away with their messages as their loved ones provides. They give pure evidence that they hear conversations or they were watching what they were doing, too giving an insight on what’s up ahead for them.
It didnt stop there for me as I decided I wanted to become a trance medium and that I sure did.
Once again as my Spirit connection happened and my voice became many voices, sometimes voices of peoples loved ones too.
People have travelled afar to meet me and see me in action with Spirit.
I love to give, help and meet needed charities so I also have what I call Mandys gift box. This is a pot of money I keep aside for special children that may need a little help or cheering up at some point in their life.
I have been lucky to meet many different people and when giving one of my readings many of my predictions have come true.
I do telephone readings all over the world and love being with people in general. One of my dreams has finally come true in recent months and that is the release of my book about me growing up and being a survivor of Thalidomide. People all around the world know me as a walking Earth Angel, I’m proud to be known as this and not the lady with no arms. People have always wondered how I coped through my earlier days as a child while growing up, but finally my dream of my book has come true and I can tell you all about my special journey.
